ELASTIC DOG DIAPERS (Boy Belly Bands)

Our Elastic Dog Diapers are made the same as our original non-elastic belly bands, with the added benefit of gentle elastic sewn along both edges and fully encased in soft fleece. This elastic helps prevent slipping on very round or tube-shaped bodies and provides a secure, comfortable fit for dogs with long waists (Dachshunds), shorter waists (Pugs), or active movement.

These original Boy Housebreaking Dog Diapers are crafted with vibrant, high-thread-count cotton fabrics on the outside and a soft, breathable anti-pill fleece lining inside. All seams are securely stitched for durability, and adjustable Velcro fasteners provide an easy on – easy off fit with no exposed sticky Velcro during wear.

Each elastic dog diaper features a built-in, absorbent pad and a waterproof liner to help prevent leaks. You won’t see the pad; it’s sewn into the center of the band, in-between the fabric layers. The waterproof liner is sewn onto the bottom outside of the band to help prevent leaks. The pad and liner are non-removable and fully washable. These belly bands can be used with or without a disposable sanitary or incontinence pad (we recommend using one to reduce washing).

Elastic dog diapers are available for waist sizes 9″ through 25.5″. Smaller and larger sizes are available on our non-elastic boy belly band page.

HOW TO MEASURE YOUR DOG

Wrap a measuring tape around the MIDDLE of your boy dog’s tummy; over his private parts that the belly band needs to cover. Pull the tape snug, but not too tight. This is your boy dog’s waist measurement. The sizes shown in the drop down boxes are YOUR DOG’S WAIST MEASUREMENT, not the length of the band.

Bands will fit a bit over and under the measurements listed; do not size up or down. You can check dog belly band width sizes in the chart below.

Tip: If you don’t have a tape measure, you can use a piece of string to measure your dog’s waist. Place the string around your dog’s belly, then measure the string with a ruler. It is wise to have more than one diaper on hand, so if one is in the wash, your dog won’t have the opportunity to mark in the house. All of our Belly Band dog diapers are machine washable in cold water, dryable in a medium heat dryer and they are durable. Our elastic dog diapers are designed to fit most dogs perfectly. You can simply measure your dog’s waist and order.

Belly Band FAQs

1. How do I measure my dog for the right size?
   Measure around your dog’s waist in front of the back legs and around the tummy where the band will sit. Use a soft tape measure (or string + ruler). Do not size up or down; we allow room for adjustment.

2. Do I need to use a pad inside the belly band?
   No, but it is highly recommended—use a disposable sanitary or incontinence pad for best absorbency and to keep your dog’s skin drier.

3. Will a belly band stop my dog from marking permanently?
   A belly band is a training aid and management tool. It helps prevent accidents while you work on consistent housebreaking routines. Many dogs are housebroken with the help of belly bands.

4. How many belly bands should I order?
   Most people like having at least two, so one can be worn while the other is in the wash.

5. How do I wash and dry them?
   Machine wash cold and tumble dry (follow your care instructions). Replace pads as needed so the band stays clean and comfortable.
